HELLO !Welcome to our farm, tucked into the quiet countryside of McGregor, Minnesota. Highland miniature cattle are the heart of it, not just raised here, but truly loved here. Every animal has a name, and every calf grows up with daily attention, gentle handling, and plenty of scratches and treats. By the time they meet you, they’re calm, affectionate, and completely at home around people. To us, cattle have always been more than an ear tag. They have big personalities and precious hearts. Great cattle come from great care, and each one carries a little piece of our family, ready to become part of yours.
Hi, I’m Jess.
I spent more than twenty years in the tech world, finishing up as a senior data engineer. Yes, I was a computer nerd! But I grew up in small towns in Montana and Wyoming, and some of my happiest memories are of running around my grandmother’s farm with the animals. Farming got into my heart early and never left.
When my husband and I finally found our 90 acres in McGregor (thirty of pasture at the end of a half-mile driveway through the woods), it felt like coming home. We’re grateful for every bit of it.
I talk to my cows more than I talk to people, and I’m not sorry about it. Cattle raised with kindness are peaceful, gentle company. I love the hard work, the mud and the small daily moments that earn a calf’s trust. Fellow cow lovers are my favorite people to talk to, too, so please reach out!
